What is possible in a future without media and technology harms?

This is the question we asked our 400+ participants who attended Take Back Tech II, the first BIPOC-led technology and media movement convening of its kind. Co-hosted with Mijente, we convened organizers, community members, and tech workers nationwide to deepen relationships across movements and discuss strategies we'll need to combat technology's worst harms.

We recognize that it will take a fundamental reimagining of our current landscape to truly achieve a liberatory future. That’s why our new #ShiftingTerrain strategy is committed to closing relationship and collaboration gaps across our movement, while driving a common vision for media and technology.

By shifting the current terrain, we’ll create the conditions necessary to dismantle the existing system and build people-centered governance over media and technology.

So we dare you to dream with us in envisioning what we will create in the future, with the prerequisite that we can only do it together.
