Trump and his loyalists have been upping the ante on their election denialism for a while now — and this time, instead of targeting the Capitol like they did in 2021, they’re targeting county clerk offices and city halls in 2024–2025.
That’s why Run for Something and our partners started Clerk Work, an effort to elect pro-democracy local election administrators across the country and stop another Trump takeover. And it’s working, John: so far, we’ve gotten 525 Clerk Work-specific candidates on the ballot over three years and helped more than half win, with 56 more up this year.
