** We expose firms using the bones of leopards ([link removed])

In our new report A Bitter Pill to Swallow, we named and shamed 24 Chinese pharmaceutical companies found listing the bones of endangered leopards as an ingredient in their traditional medicine products. Using leopard bone in traditional medicine is still legal in China, despite there being fewer than 450 wild leopards left in the country. On traditional Chinese medicine websites, we found that the labelling or packaging of 62 different pills, plasters and tonics recorded the use of their bones.

** Criminal touting tiger ‘glue’ for pandemic ([link removed])

Our Wildlife team was appalled when it made the gruesome discovery of a criminal trader in Vietnam trader recommending the use of his homemade tiger bone “glue”, via his social media account, as a way of generally staying healthy during the pandemic.
