Sun Times: "Toni Preckwinkle has good news. No layoffs or tax hikes planned for Cook County next year."
Dear John,
Yesterday Toni proposed the 2025 budget to the County Board of Commissioners, and the Sun Times has a great summary of it today. Read the article here! [[link removed]]
The $9.89 billion proposed budget includes investments in AI, renewable energy, and equity initiatives with NO layoffs, new taxes or tax hikes.
Year after year, under Toni's leadership, Cook County continues to be financially stable, all while being able to do big things like funding health care services, assisting communities hit by flooding, providing guaranteed income for low-income residents, and erasing up to $1 billion in medical debt.
Thanks to your support, Toni is able to continue to do this important work for us all. Thank you!
Sincerely,
Team Toni
