Recently, Lila Rose, founder of Live Action, a national anti-abortion organization, lamented that no pro-abortion leader had agreed to face her in a debate about abortion access. [1]

To which, I have to say: What?

I’ve debated Lila before, and told her I’m happy to do it again. It’s been crickets since.

What is she afraid of? Maybe it’s her ridiculous adherence to the false claims about abortion, which is safe, effective, and yes, medically necessary. Maybe it’s her opposition to IVF (which millions of people use to create families) and contraception (which millions of people use).

Whatever it is, I stand firm in the truth that abortion and reproductive care is necessary and good.

And I’d be thrilled to say so at any debate.

Lila, just name the time and place.
