Sign up here to organize in your community against this disgraceful new rule (we have a strategy call today at 4:30pm EST anyone who signs up is invited to join).

John,

Betsy DeVos and the Trump Administration have finalized their new Title IX rule. Yes, In the midst of a global pandemic, Betsy Devos and the Trump Administration continue to show us exactly what their priorities are: rolling back the rights of student survivors.

As expected, the final rule will:

✅ Allow schools to ignore violence that occurs outside of school, like off-campus housing or study abroad programs, even if it still impacts a survivors’ education.
✅ Force students to endure repeated and escalating levels of abuse without being able to ask their schools for help
✅ Shield schools from liability for ignoring or covering up sexual harassment
✅ Force survivors to go through live cross examination

Schools across the country have been wrongfully delaying survivors’ Title IX cases because of COVID-19 campus closures. Now, those survivors may be forced into DeVos' new world of Title IX because of delays. Not to mention, students might not be able to seek help from their school for any harassment they are experiencing during remote learning. This is disgraceful.

Want to organize with us to fight back against DeVos’ rule? Sign up here to join our call today at 4:30pm EST to learn more about the rule and how you can organize in your community to stop it.

The good news is, not all hope is lost. We have seen some BIG wins when activists sue the Trump Administration for their blatantly illegal activity. But I’m going to level with you: challenging the Department of Education is expensive. Can you chip in here to help us reach our goal of raising $25,000 to fight back and stop DeVos’ Title IX rule? Remember, every donation adds up, so whatever you can give will go a long way to helping us protect survivors and build a world where EVERY student can pursue their education without violence and harassment.

In Solidarity,
