The latest on what's happening with right-of-center women   Weekly Wrap October 11, 2024 This Week's Highlights     Monday On the anniversary of the horrific attack on Israel, Rep. Mariannette Miller-Meeks (IA-01) reaffirmed her commitment to our ally and the need to elect and re-elect people who will not equivocate on their support for Israel. In the immediate aftermath of the October 7 attack last year, her opponent, liberal Democrat Christina Bohannan, attempted to score political points by criticizing Miller-Meeks and House Republicans rather than condemning Hamas and terrorism. Tuesday Rep. Lori Chavez-DeRemer (OR-05) used her debate to criticize Democrat Janelle Bynum over a damning new report about Bynum's "willful coverup of a sexual assault of a minor volunteer who worked for her during the 2022 cycle." She also confronted her opponent about her support for Oregon's infamous Measure 110, which decriminalized controlled substances like heroin and fentanyl. Wednesday WFW AF-backed Alison Esposito (NY-18) wasted no time going after her opponent, Democrat Pat Ryan, and his disastrous record on issues like crime and illegal immigration. Esposito also drew a contrast between her staunch support for Israel and Ryan's repeated votes against condemning antisemitism, arguing that "[w]e have to stand strong against terrorism on all its fronts." Thursday WFW AF-endorsed Laurie Buckhout (NC-01) is running to flip a district that is a top GOP target after redistricting made it significantly more favorable for Republicans. The seat is currently held by vulnerable incumbent Democrat Don Davis, and a Buckhout victory would end Democrats' 141-year control of the eastern North Carolina district. Buckhout reminded voters of her extremely impressive resume as a retired Army Colonel, decorated combat commander, and successful business owner.   In The News   Fox News: 'Willful coverup': Democrat in key House race hit with ethics complaint that could derail campaign Oregon Capital Chronicle: Chavez-DeRemer hears from Clackamas County, Portland business owners about crime, taxes The Wilson Times: Buckhout focusing ‘on every single voter’ Bloomberg: New York, California Loom Large In ‘Dead Heat’ Race For US House     Stay up to date on the latest by following us on our socials.
