Dear John,

In the last two weeks we’ve seen destruction and devastation sweep through the southeastern United States due to not one, but two record-breaking hurricanes. I can’t recall a time where we’ve been responding to multiple storms in such a short period of time, but here we are.

I want to start by saying Unto is completely committed to helping and not forgetting the victims of Hurricane Helene. There are years of need and work ahead there and Unto will continue to assist with recovery.

At the same time, we are now assessing the impacts of Hurricane Milton. 

As you may know, Unto is based in Florida and we have the ability to act quickly, and appropriately, during these difficult times. 

We also have teams based in Pennsylvania and throughout the US, as well as a network of partners throughout Cru® and its ministries. This has allowed us to assist with both Helene and Milton in Florida and be committed to serving North Carolina long-term in the aftermath of Hurricane Helene.

I want to say “thank you” for your prayers and partnership these last two weeks as we have dealt with the aftermath of these storms. I have been so encouraged by your outpouring of support for not just Unto and our team, but for those we serve.

But please don’t stop praying! Continue to pray for Unto leadership. With crises in the US and around the world in the Middle East, Southeast Asia and other locations, the Unto team needs the Lord's wisdom in responding appropriately to all of these events in accordance with James 1:5, "If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given to him."

Please join us in praying for those affected by these storms. So many people are still suffering and have lost so much. 

And if you have been impacted by either of these storms, please know we are praying with you and for you. 

Thank you for partnering with us as we relieve suffering and reveal HOPE to the victims of Hurricane Helene and Hurricane Milton.
