National Highways has announced that it has put back by another week planned closures around the A52 QMC roundabout in Nottingham.
As part of work to repair the damaged bridge on the northern section, there was due to be a full weekend closure of a number of roads from 8pm today (Friday 11 October) to 6am on Monday 14 October. It had originally been scheduled for last weekend but was delayed by a week.
However, due to a clash with an open day at the University of Nottingham tomorrow (Saturday 12 October), National Highways has announced that the closures have been put back again and will now be from 8pm Friday 18 October to 6am on Monday 21 October.
The works will enable workers to safely cut and remove the parapet on the edge of the bridge and drill anchors for a replacement beam. National Highways will use a crane to do this which will stand on Middleton Boulevard.
The A52 eastbound from Priory roundabout to QMC, the northern section of the QMC roundabout and Middleton Boulevard all need to be closed 24/7 for the safety of road users and the workforce.
Make sure you allow extra time for your journeys and follow signed diversions.
