Hi John,

For the past few weeks, I’ve been focused on passing legislation and working directly with members of our community to ensure that we provide critical relief to our essential workers, families, and business owners during these challenging times.

In a recent Rules Committee hearing, we debated the need to establish a subcommittee on the Committee on Oversight and Reform that will ensure that our relief plans and the taxpayer dollars allocated to them are well spent -- like the package I recently voted for that will provide over $300 billion for small businesses, $75 billion for our frontline health care professionals, and $25 billion for COVID-19 testing.

There is still so much more work to be done, and I will continue doing everything I can to ensure Americans have the resources they need to get through this incredibly difficult time.

I also found some time to hop on a video call for a Facebook Live with Reps. Madeleine Dean, Susan Wild, and Chrissy Houlahan (the Fab Four) to stay connected with our constituents in Pennsylvania. We talked about resources, things that are giving us hope, upcoming votes, and the work ahead. Every day I am so thankful for their friendship -- we’re in this together!

I’ve also hosted virtual roundtables with local groups in Southeast Pennsylvania and held our regular “Coffees with your Congresswoman” -- it’s one of my favorite things that our office does. It allows me to connect personally with seniors, usually out in the community, but we’ve moved it online to stay connected.

In Congress, I will continue fighting for legislation that will strengthen our communities and help our families -- and I am so grateful for the continued support you show me and my team.

We couldn’t do this without you.

Thanks and talk soon,
Mary Gay
