With only 25 days until Election Day, people seem to be forgetting about Project 2025, John. Just take a look at Google searches from the last three months:

Project 2025 isn’t trending, but it should be. It is still very much a threat, whether or not Trump is elected president. The truth is, Republicans are already working state-by-state to push forward these dangerous and unpopular ideas.
We’re fighting furiously to elect Democracy Defenders across the country who will stand up to this far-right plan to strip our rights and destroy our democracy. And since state-level races are often won by the slimmest of margins, a gift right now could go a long way for these down-ballot candidates.
Can you make a donation of $30 to the NDRC right away? Your gift will help in all our work, including electing Democracy Defenders this November to create an anti-Project 2025 firewall in the states. [[link removed]]

Here is just a sampling of the proposals in this extreme MAGA plan:
*
Project
2025
would
stop
federal
work
protecting
our
elections
from
foreign
threats.
Project
2025
recommends
dismantling
the
Cybersecurity
and
Infrastructure
Agency,
which
is
devoted
to
securing
elections
from
interference.
The
agency
is
currently
housed
in
the
Department
of
Homeland
Security,
and
its
minimized
work
functions
would
be
moved
under
the
Department
of
Transportation.
Yep,
you
read
that
right.
*
Project
2025
would
install
political
actors
to
decide
who
does
and
doesn’t
get
counted
in
the
census
instead
of
nonpartisan
actors.
The
plan
also
calls
for
a
citizenship
question
on
the
census,
which
could
undercount
the
population
in
areas
with
high
rates
of
immigrants
and
unfairly
shift
power
away
from
minority
communities.
*
Project
2025
would
weaken
the
Justice
Department’s
Civil
Rights
Division,
which
is
responsible
for
defending
Americans
of
color
in
civil
rights
cases
like
violations
of
the
Voting
Rights
Act
(VRA).
This last point hits me hard. I dedicate my career to upholding the VRA. In fact, my most recent favorite memory is reading the U.S Supreme Court’s decision in Allen v. Milligan , which helped remedy discriminatory redistricting in Alabama. I felt so proud to see the highest court in our land say that people of color deserve federal legal protections of their right to vote. But Project 2025 wants to upend the federal team that protects minority voters’ rights.
Here’s the thing, John: I absolutely believe that together we will level the playing field and ensure that power rests with every American voter — not with extremist politicians. And I believe that in this election we can decisively show MAGA Republicans that we will not sit by and watch them rip up the fabric of our democracy.
And here’s the best part: Since state-level elections can be won by a few hundred votes, every dollar given today goes further to put the right people in the right places.
John, you can help make the promise of democracy real for every American in this election and beyond. Please, make a meaningful gift today to help stop Project 2025 → [[link removed]]
