John, we could be headed for some election night chaos in Georgia.

With just over a month until Election Day, Georgia’s MAGA-controlled election board voted to “require a statewide hand-count of all ballots in the 2024 election.”

Nearly five million ballots will be cast in Georgia this election, and this new rule will lead to significant delays in reporting, and create a vacuum that leads to misinformation and disinformation.

Let us be clear: this is a blatant (and likely illegal) attempt by MAGA Republicans to disrupt the electoral process. That’s exactly why Donald Trump is cheering on these changes.

We wish we could say that we were surprised, but after all, Trump asked election officials to "find 11,780 votes" when he lost Georgia in 2020.

This news is just a sampling of what’s to come between now and November 5th, and after, which is exactly why we need to be prepared.
