This week, we had a “party at the polls” across the street from the Cuyahoga County Board of Elections to kick off early voting in Ohio. I am thrilled by the great turnout we are already seeing. It goes to show that people understand how serious, how critical, and how important this historic election is.
I don’t know about you, but I don’t want to wake up on November 6 and say, “What happened to our country?”
That is why, over the next 26 days, we must do everything we can and talk to as many people as we can to ensure they know what’s at stake and turn out and vote to protect this gift we call democracy.
We cannot go back, John, and we need everyone involved to pull this off.
As a Cuyahoga County Council member and Chairwoman of the Cuyahoga County Democratic Party, Shontel Brown has spent the last decade serving the people of Ohio and building coalitions. Now, as the Congresswoman for Ohio’s 11th District, she will fight for affordable quality health care, jobs that pay fair wages, a strong public education system, and equity and justice for all. Will you join her and be the change we need?
