We won’t stand idly by while these cruel attacks on DACA continue.

John, the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program has transformed the lives of hundreds of thousands of young people, their families, and our communities. But today, Texas and eight other states are in court fighting to tear DACA apart.

Today’s court hearing in New Orleans is the latest step in years of relentless attacks on DACA aimed at dismantling protections that keep families together and offer Dreamers — many of whom are essential workers like nannies, housecleaners, and care workers — a future.

For years, DACA has provided safety from deportation and opened the door to educational and career opportunities for Dreamers, people who came to the U.S. as children, have lived the majority of their lives here, and call the U.S. home. But its impact is not just felt by DACA recipients — it has strengthened our communities and local economies.

Yet, court challenges, like the one being heard today, are putting the lives of tens of thousands of DACA recipients in jeopardy. As an organization fighting for dignity and respect for domestic workers—many of whom are immigrant women of color and Dreamers themselves — we won’t stand idly by while these cruel attacks continue.

The partner organizations of the Home is Here coalition are holding a community meeting on October 15 to discuss today’s Fifth Circuit Court hearing and ways we can prepare for the court's ruling on the future of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program.

Dreamers are our family, our friends, our coworkers, and our neighbors. They deserve safety and the freedom to live without the fear of deportation and detention. Together, we can take a stand and defend DACA.

Thank you for standing with Dreamers and helping keep families together.

Dignity, Unity, Power

The majority of domestic workers sit at the center of some of our nation’s most decisive issues because of who they are and what they do: they are women – mostly women of color, immigrants, mothers, and low-wage workers. They are impacted by almost every policy affecting the future of our economy, democracy and country.

Domestic workers can lead us toward a new, inclusive vision for the future for all of us -- and your grassroots support is the fuel that can get us there.
