[1]U.S. Senator Chris Murphy

We know people wonder from time to time why we ask for contributions. It’s a fair question, so we want to try to answer it.

First, Chris is never one to take this seat or even a single vote for granted. It’s the privilege of a lifetime to be a voice for you in the Senate. Few are lucky enough to do what they love and impact people’s lives at the highest levels. Chris deeply believes in putting in the work to earn every vote and demonstrate that he is doing the job that people elected him to do.

And he knows that our campaign is bigger than just his race. His job as a leader in the Democratic Party is to help progressives up and down the ticket who will work alongside him to deliver meaningful change for your family.

And then there's what we can do with the resources. Because the stronger we are as a campaign and Chris is as a Senator, the more effective he can be advocating for the values we share: an end to the epidemic of gun violence in this country and a progressive vision for America's role in the world, to name just two.

But what you may not know is that messages like this are where we get more than 95% of our donations. And that means from time to time, we have to reach out.

We hope we made a compelling case because today is one of those days.

Can Chris count on you to use this link to contribute $5, $10 or whatever you can afford today directly to help us send him back to the United States Senate and hold our majority?
