Happy World Mental Health Day, friend!

More than 30 years ago, World Mental Health Day was established to celebrate global mental health education, hoping to increase awareness of mental health and decrease the stigma surrounding it.

We recognize that mental health care needs more attention — as one of our three pillars of change, we remain committed to better mental health screening and support programs because no student should fall through the cracks at school.

By supporting students who are experiencing mental health challenges, schools can help foster a sense of safety and support, getting them help before they turn to violence, and create better outcomes — meaning our schools are that much safer.

We’re committed to pushing for policies like behavioral threat assessments and follow-up management — but we can’t do this work alone. More progress is made every day, but there’s still so much work we can do. Will you power our work and help us make our schools safer and mental health a priority for all? [[link removed]]

Together, we can make a difference.
