Here’s where we are with Robert’s case:
FIRST: Robert was wrongfully convicted of a crime that never happened, and because of this, he has spent over 20 years on Texas death row.
THEN: Despite new scientific and medical evidence proving that Robert’s chronically ill daughter, Nikki, died of natural and accidental causes, not homicide, the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals denied Robert’s application for a writ of habeas corpus and motion for a stay of execution.
NOW: Robert is scheduled to be executed on Oct. 17 unless the courts or Gov. Abbott intervene. That’s why we’re asking him to grant Robert clemency.
