Dear Friend,
I hope you'll join me, my GGWash colleague Alex Baca, and author Jerusalem Demsas for a conversation next month about her new book about why it's so hard to get housing built–and what we can do about it.

More and more Americans are feeling the pain of our national housing crisis, but often struggle to pin down the actual cause. In her new book, On the Housing Crisis: Land, Development, Democracy , Jerusalem Demsas, staff writer for the Atlantic, breaks down in plain language how the democratic process has been hijacked to throw up barriers to homebuilding.
On Tuesday, November 12 at 6:30 pm, join Jerusalem for a lively conversation with Greater Greater Washington policy directors Alex Baca and yours truly, where we'll talk about ways to create a healthier, more productive form of local government.
