Events & Fundraisers

Dear friends of the Fund,

Come hear the music play at the immersive new imagining of a Broadway classic, Cabaret! Plus, we hope you'll join us for Once Upon A Mattress, but don't sleep on it for too long; it’s a royal treat you won’t want to miss!

Thank you for supporting a life in the arts, and we look forward to seeing you soon.

August Wilson Theatre

See top-notch theater and feel good about helping others! Producer’s Picks tickets are donated by the producers so your entire ticket purchase goes to support the Entertainment Community Fund’s programs and services.

Willkommen to the Kit Kat Club! Thanks to the producers of the revival of Cabaret—now starring Adam Lambert (American Idol) and Auli’i Cravalho (Moana)—we invite you to leave your troubles outside. Arrive early to see how the denizens of the Kit Kat Club have created a decadent sanctuary inside Broadway’s August Wilson Theatre, where artists and performers, misfits and outsiders rule the night. After all, what good is sitting alone in your room?

Mattress

Once Upon A Mattress Producer’s Picks
Tuesday, October 29, 7 pm ET

Hudson Theatre
141 West 44th Street
New York, NY 10036

Don’t be shy! Support the Fund and join us at this revival of the iconic musical Once Upon a Mattress, newly adapted by Amy Sherman-Palladino (The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel). Two-time Tony winner Sutton Foster (Anything Goes) stars as the unapologetically eccentric Princess Winnifred the Woebegone, who charms, delights and dances her way to the top…of a stack of mattresses. Foster and Michael Urie (Shrinking) lead an incredible cast and remind us that there’s no place better than Happily Ever After.

Lucy

Laughs, Luck…and Lucy

Audible

Thank you to Gregg Oppenheimer for supporting workers in all branches of the performing arts! Gregg has generously pledged all proceeds from his new audiobook, Laughs, Luck…and Lucy, co-authored with his father, I Love Lucy creator Jess Oppenheimer.

Laughs, Luck…and Lucy weaves the wonderfully-entertaining tale behind Oppenheimer’s creation of this iconic sitcom—a first-hand look at Hollywood history as it was being made, with behind-the-scenes stories of stars like Lucille Ball, Desi Arnaz, William Frawley, Jack Benny, Steve Allen and Fred Astaire. It also includes "lost" I Love Lucy scenes, as well as classic comedy performances by Lucille Ball, Desi Arnaz, Vivian Vance, Willam Frawley, Gale Gordon, Hans Conried and Bea Benaderet. Alison Arngrim (Little House on the Prairie's Nellie Oleson) and The Firesign Theatre's Phil Proctor and David Ossman participate in the audiobook as well.
