We’ve got some more good news to share today! The Cook Political Report, a non-partisan political analysis organization, recently switched their rating in two Iowa congressional districts, IA-01 and IA-03, from ‘Leans-Republican’ to ‘Toss-up’! Races in the second and fourth are also growing closer by the day.

If one of your friends or family members has been talking about how their vote doesn’t matter, now would be the time to share with them the news. Two years ago we lost one of the congressional races by just six votes, and considering how tight things are looking now, we know we need everyone to make their voices heard.

Iowa has been in the grip of Republican control in recent years, but with the situation on the ground developing as it has been, that could soon change. This election is bound to be close, and we’re working hard to restore balance and common sense to the halls of our government.

So don’t forget; early voting starts October 16th, the same day they begin to mail out ballots. You don’t have to wait until then to request your ballot. You can call your county auditor’s office today and ask for an Absentee Ballot Request Form. Make sure you have your absentee ballot in the mail by October 25. If you still have your ballot after October 25, don’t put it in the mail. Fill your ballot out and take it directly to your county auditor. 

We’re so close, Iowa, to the change we all want to see. Only together do we have the power to save our state and our country.
