America gave him a Purple Heart and I gave him my whole heart.

I first met Sam Brown in the burn unit. He’d just returned from Afghanistan where he and his soldiers were ambushed by the Taliban.
He was injured by a roadside bomb and had a long road to recovery. I was assigned as his dietitian in rehab and was very impressed by him.
Here was a young man terribly injured while serving his country, but his heart was full of faith.
He fought with every fiber of his being to recover so he could return to serve with his men in Afghanistan.
And even when it became clear that he would never be permitted to return to the line of duty on account of his injuries, he didn’t skip a beat.
Sam had to relearn everything. He had prepared for his entire life to spend his career fighting for his country in the military. After his life plans were dashed in just 60 seconds, he re-focused his vision on serving others in a new way.
Before we were married, and before we were even dating, Sam and I became friends. I shared with him some of the struggles I had faced, and he was honest with me. He was concerned for my Salvation – and for that matter so was I.
He challenged me to reconnect with God and start going to church again. As he and I grew closer, he helped me rediscover my faith.
Now here we are 15 years later. We have 3 kids, I’m a Bible-believing momma, and Sam is running for Senate to keep serving our nation and restore hope, leadership, and accountability.
I’m endlessly grateful that God put him in my life. Sam is a warrior, a hero, a leader.
I’m backing this Purple Heart veteran all the way and I hope you will too.

Thank you for your consideration,
Amy Brown
P.S. – If you feel so led, Sam could use your financial support. He’s closer than ever to winning his Toss-Up race and flipping the Senate majority. Like many of you, we live on a fixed income. But campaign expenses are piling up and we have to dig deeper to go all the way. Anything you can spare will be most appreciated.
