Friend,
Unlike physical injuries, emotional and mental scars are often invisible. But by treating mental health with the same urgency and care as we do for physical injuries or ailments, Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) ensures that our patients can start to adapt, recover, and rebuild their lives amidst crisis. Mental health care saves lives.
In 2023, MSF teams performed 493,900 individual mental health consultations, primarily in countries experiencing conflict or where large numbers of people were forced to flee conflict. Your support can help bring mental health care—and other urgently needed medical care—to people living through traumatic situations who have nowhere else to turn.
This World Mental Health Day, will you make a gift to ensure we can deliver care to the most vulnerable people in more than 70 countries around the world?
