Friends,
Last week when Governor Holcomb unveiled his Back on Track plan, he laid out a phased plan for reopening Indiana over the next two months. It’s data-driven, it’s comprehensive, and it’s focused first on Hoosiers’ health.
And, as Governor Holcomb said, along the way he’ll be looking at four guiding principles daily to make sure we’re safely getting back on track –
Yesterday was a big day for guiding principle #3. That’s because Indiana’s large-scale, statewide, drive-through testing program is now open!
If you or someone you know is showing symptoms of COVID-19 (or has been in close contact to someone who has tested positive), we’d encourage you to schedule an appointment for a free test by visiting lhi.care/covidtesting or calling 888-634-1116.
This free, statewide program is now up-and-running with 20 sites, with 30 additional sites expected to open in the next week. This adds 30,000 more COVID-19 tests a week to Indiana’s statewide testing capacity!
And with drive-through clinics, hospitals, local health departments and other community-based sites also testing, there are now more than 120 COVID-19 testing locations throughout the entire state. And it’s that testing that will help Hoosiers get back to their daily lives – and helps make Indiana’s Back on Track plan work.
Together, let’s all continue to work hard, and if you feel symptoms, please schedule an appointment at one of Indiana’s many testing sites.
#BackOnTrack, -Your Holcomb Crew
