John —

There’s no getting around it: COVID-19 has changed the way we do things. In a different world, after The Innocence Files launched on Netflix we planned to hold screenings and have in-person panels and speaking events.

These stories are so critical to moving the conversation forward on criminal justice reform — that’s why we’re holding a live discussion today at 11 a.m. ET. You won’t want to miss it and you can watch it on Twitter ([link removed]) , Facebook ([link removed]) or YouTube ([link removed]) .

The live panel is hosted by Eddie Huang, the best-selling author, restaurateur, host of Huang’s World on VICE and former Cardozo Law School clinic student at the Innocence Project.

You’ll hear from exoneree Keith Harward, Levon Brooks’ niece Gloria Williams, and the Innocence Project’s director of post-conviction litigation, Vanessa Potkin, and strategic litigation staff attorney Dana Delger.

We’ll be talking about both Keith and Levon’s cases, which were highlighted in the first few episodes of The Innocence Files, and answering questions you have.

The more we have these conversations about why people are wrongfully convicted, the more we raise the chances that we’ll help another innocent person or prevent more from being locked up for crimes they did not commit.

So if you can, please join us live on Facebook ([link removed]) , Twitter ([link removed]) or YouTube ([link removed]) today at 11 a.m. ET to talk about how we can work to change the system together.

Thanks,

The Innocence Project Team
