We are less than four weeks away from Election Day, and Michigan is at the forefront of determining the future of our country. Team Huizenga and I are pounding the pavement across Southwest Michigan, but I wanted to take a moment to share with you a great opportunity right here in the 4th District. 

I am excited to announce that my colleague, Congressman Mike Kelly from Butler, Pennsylvania, is coming to the Air Zoo in Portage on October 21st. Rep. Kelly represents the district and was attending the rally where an assassin nearly took the life of former President Trump. Because of this, he was selected to be the Chairman of the Bipartisan Task Force that is investigating the security failures surrounding the attempt on President Trump's life.

Additionally, Congressman Kelly serves as Chairman of the Ways and Means Subcommittee on Tax Policy, which means he will play a critical role in the upcoming debate on tax rates as well as oversight of the IRS. In order for our economy in Southwest Michigan to flourish, we need to make sure we have a tax code that helps middle-class families keep more of their hard-earned money and allows small businesses the ability to grow and create good-paying local jobs.
