The theme for this year was School Nurses: Supporting Students in Times of Crisis. I hope you had a chance to see my video thanking you for all you do. I celebrate your leadership, and your impact on our students, today and always! Whether we are in person or online, our school nurses play an integral role in our school communities. School Nurse Day is also an apt time to once again recognize several of our 2020 NASN Award Winners! For the NASN Scholarship Awards, Endowment Education Scholarships have gone to Chantee Hale, Nancy Jenks, Mary Elaine Knight, and Lisa Peterson. For the RN to BSN Educational Advancement Scholarships, congratulations to Erica Ward. We are looking forward to celebrating all of our award recipients in conjunction with Virtual NASN2020. National Prevention Week is May 10-16 National Prevention Week (NPW) is a public education platform that promotes prevention year-round through providing ideas, capacity building, tools, and resources to help individuals and communities make substance use prevention happen every day. NPW 2020 will take place May 10–16, 2020.
