InSight Crime is proud to announce we received a special citation at this week’s prestigious Maria Moors Cabot Prizes for outstanding reporting in the Americas at Columbia University.

The panel recognized InSight Crime’s work deepening understanding of organized crime and its impact across the Americas through on-the-ground investigative reporting, data analysis, and research into criminal dynamics, and our role as a key resource for journalists, academics, civil society leaders, government officials, and policymakers.

We are honored to receive this recognition of 15 years of work and dedication to uncovering and explaining organized crime and corruption in Latin America, and we would like to share this achievement with our readers, donors, and supporters, without which it would not have been possible.


** About the Maria Moors Cabot Prize

The Maria Moors Cabot Prizes are the oldest international awards in journalism and were founded in 1938, when Godfrey Lowell Cabot of Boston founded the Maria Moors Cabot Prizes as a memorial to his wife. The prizes recognize journalists and news organizations with a distinguished body of work that has contributed to Inter-American understanding.
