When my friend Andi’s daughter was diagnosed with leukemia at 8 ½ weeks pregnant, she faced the most difficult decision a mother could make. Seeking lifesaving chemotherapy treatment would mean terminating her pregnancy.

Under a national abortion ban, Andi’s daughter wouldn’t have been able to have that choice. She - and her unborn child - would have died.

My opponent, in his own words, supports the Supreme Court repealing Roe v. Wade. And he wants to throw out New York’s own law that protects abortion access.

There couldn’t be a bigger contrast. I believe that the decision to have an abortion should be between a woman, her doctor and her god - not the government. It’s a fact that the rising right wing tide of abortion bans is putting women’s lives at risk.

When in Congress, I’ll do everything in my power to stop a national abortion ban.

Nick LaLota would make abortion illegal in New York. I will protect a woman’s right to make choices about her own body.

That’s the choice in this election.
