Absentee ballots have begun mailing in Michigan, meaning that every day is Election Day between now and November 5th.

Our campaign team is working to ensure a massive voter turnout, including reaching voters who voted in 2008 or 2016 but didn’t cast a ballot in 2020. We’re also reaching out to first-time voters and folks who have requested an absentee ballot but have not yet returned it.

We need to make sure that Michigan voters vote their entire ballot, from the presidential race where we must defeat Donald Trump to the Michigan Legislature and the Michigan Supreme Court, where Democrats hold slim one-seat majorities. We live in a deeply Democratic district, so we know when more folks turn out, we win.

Whether it’s an election year or not, Team Tlaib continues to run Neighborhood Service Centers in our district. In just the last few weeks we’ve helped residents get back nearly $70,000 in tax returns, missed Social Security payments, and back pay for disability benefits. In total we’ve brought more than $5.5 million directly back to residents and served more than 9,300 constituents! As a public servant, I believe that supporting my constituents through everyday issues is essential, while also pushing for transformative policy changes that lift people up across the country and the world.
