As the head of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, Dr. Fauci has made it clear that he only has one interest in mind: preserving the health and safety of the American people. But when Dr. Fauci suggested that preventive measures could have been taken sooner to contain the virus, Trump threatened Fauci by retweeting a tweet with the hashtag #FireFauci. Trump would rather put petty partisanship before saving American lives.
