Let’s freeze rent and mortgages in Massachusetts now!

COVID-19 has thrown thousands of workers -- especially in the restaurant and service industry -- out of work. Massachusetts has halted evictions and foreclosures. However, tenants who can’t make rent, and homeowners who can't pay their mortgages, will still be saddled with enormous debt at the end of the crisis.
Berkshire Service Worker Solidarity
is calling on Governor Charlie Baker, State Senator Adam Hinds,
Representative John Barrett, Representative Tricia Farley-Bouvier,
Representative Paul Mark, and Representative Smitty Pignatelli to do
everything in their power to cancel and forgive all rent, mortgage, and utility payments.
We formed Berkshire Service Worker Solidarity to build power among workers in the service sector. Called back to work, but feeling unsafe? Still out of work and struggling to make ends meet? Join us as we work together to find a way through this crisis.
