Our partners at the Sustainability Incubator, along with the Corporate Accountability Lab, Akatiga Center of Social Analysis, Institute for Policy Research and Advocacy (ELSAM), and the Migunani Research Institute led a research project to uncover the drivers of labor exploitation within the shrimp supply chain. Their study reveals widespread exploitation of workers in shrimp farms and processing plants across Southeast Asia.
Last month, the Bureau of International Labor Affairs (ILAB) released its annual List of Goods Produced by Child Labor or Forced Labor. The list includes 204 goods from 84 countries and raises awareness about global labor exploitation, holding companies accountable for the conditions within their supply chains. Our partners at Corporate Accountability Lab and Greenpeace have shared their reactions to the ILAB's List of Goods.
