Dear John,
Blink and you might’ve missed it – but the American Immigration Council was everywhere last week.
From the pages of the New York Times to the airwaves at the vice presidential debate, our work reached millions of people during this pivotal moment. We’re providing the facts on immigration during a time when politicians would rather stoke fear and the truth is hard to come by.
ICYMI, here’s a recap of some of our recent wins:

All Eyes on US
Our Walk a Mile ad, [[link removed]] from our Belonging Begins with US campaign, aired on CNN during the vice presidential debate, showing millions of viewers the importance of creating a nation where everyone feels like they belong.

Mass Coverage
Politicians have renewed calls for a mass deportation regime. Our new report [[link removed]*1weiqca*_gcl_au*NTU1ODM1NDk5LjE3MjYyNTY3NjE.*_ga*MTUyMTE2OTU3OS4xNjk0NzIwNjUz*_ga_W0MSMD2GPV*MTcyODMyODQ4NC4yMjkuMC4xNzI4MzI4NDg1LjAuMC4w] analyzing the costs of such an effort was featured in The New York Times, CBS News, El Pais, The Boston Globe, and more.

Getting Down to Business
Ohio has recently been at the epicenter of disinformation regarding immigration issues. But we brought things back down to earth at our annual Global Talent Chamber Network convening in Columbus, OH. Chamber of commerce leaders from across the country came together to share best practices on immigrant inclusion and workforce development.

Case (not) Dismissed
A federal judge denied the U.S. government’s motion to dismiss our “turnback” case. This litigation [[link removed]] challenges the government’s policy of turning away people who come to our border without an appointment on the CBP One app. We can move forward with our case, ensuring everyone has the chance to seek protection – and not at the mercy of a glitchy app.
At a time when immigration news can be overwhelmingly negative, we wanted to take a moment to celebrate the wins we make together.
Work like this isn’t possible without your support. Please consider making a gift today [[link removed]] .
Sincerely,
Jeremy Robbins
