** Introducing the
Project ID Action Fund

For three years, Spread The Vote + Project ID have worked hard on the ground helping people get IDs across the country. We've partnered with over 100 local organizations, have trained 600+ volunteers, and have had dozens of field staff working step by step to help individuals get the IDs they need to change their lives. We have developed custom technology, created new methods to get IDs, have partnered with everyone from the New Orleans Public Defenders and Florida Department of Corrections to small local food banks and rural churches and we now have a trove of institutional wisdom, a database of stories, and a mountain of data about the lives, needs, and challenges of the 21 million+ Americans who don't have ID.

After three years of grassroots, step by step work on the ground, we think it's time to take our knowledge and experience to the next step- changing ID policy city by city, state by state, and across the country.

So we'd like to introduce the Project ID Action Fund ([link removed]) , our new 501c4 that will work to change ID policy across the country, endorse pro-ID candidates, and advocate for the ID-less in times of change and crisis.

It's time for IDs to be free for veterans, the homeless, and the indigent.

It's time for returning citizens to get free IDs the day they are released.

It's time for foster children to get free IDs the day they turn 18.

It's time for food banks and homeless shelters to stop requiring ID to access their services.

It's time for politicians to address the needs of the ID-less in every election, at every election.

It's time for us to change the system.

The Project ID Action Fund will be the first national advocacy organization working to change life for the 21 million ID-less Americans who are forgotten, left behind, and ignored by policy and politicians. We are honored to begin this work, and we hope you're with us.
