If the election were held today, George Barna Research is predicting that only 50% of eligible Christian voters would vote in this upcoming election. That equals to "41 million born-again Christians and 32 million mainline Christians not planning to vote."
What that means in practical terms = WE COULD BE IN TROUBLE.
This election in November will be determined on whether or not the Christian Voter actually turns out and votes and votes Christian values.
Therefore, this Sunday at Sheridan.Church, I am going to do something that I have never done before but many Pastors did this very thing during the 18th + 19th centuries here in America.
I am going to preach an Election Sermon.
Pastors during the founding of our Nation would preach what they called "Election Sermons" from their pulpits each election cycle.
I am not inventing anything new but just picking up what many Pastors have done before me here in America.
