** I took Romeo for a walk this morning.

I was up for a challenge. Romeo wasn't so sure. We trekked up the Sharps Ridge Trail that switches back and forth to a satisfying view over I-275.
We met few people along the trail, and a light fog hung to the curves of the rugged path lined with roots and rocks.
I felt gratitude for the cool air and the steep climb. I also felt grateful for the many opportunities we have to get outside. Knoxville's parks are second to none for variety, amenities and connectivity. I'm excited that we have a new map that will help residents and visitors navigate all City parks as well as those managed by Knox County and Legacy Parks.
Once we reached the top and took in the view, Romeo's eyes were brighter. I was ready to plan our next adventure.
