A MESSAGE FROM OUR NONPROFIT PARTNER,
TEXAS PARKS AND WILDLIFE FOUNDATION (TPWF)

With another fall equinox in our rear-view mirror, wild things and wild places across Texas are making their annual transition to fall. Migrating birds, bats, and butterflies fly overhead along the Central Flyway to their winter homes, while black bears, resident bats, prairie dogs, turtles, and more have begun the annual swarming frenzy to gather essentials ahead of a dormant winter.

For more than 30 years, Texas Parks and Wildlife Foundation (TPWF) has invested more than $250 million in high-impact, meaningful projects to conserve the wild places our wild things rely on to serve as house and home each and every season.

TPWF and our many conservation partners have been hard at work in the field to conserve over 200,000 acres of wild. We have revitalized tens of thousands of acres of grassland habitat for birds and vital pollinators. We continue to support black bear recolonization and pronghorn restoration, as well as the exigent charge to conserve desert bighorn sheep populations in West Texas. Along our Texas Coast, we have conserved over 6,700 acres of pristine barrier habitat along Matagorda Peninsula, home to a remarkable array of wildlife for nesting sea turtles and a multitude of birds. The meaningful change we have realized is driven by our desire to keep Texas wild, but our work is never done.

TPWF members [ [link removed] ] are important partners in supporting the on-the-ground conservation efforts that ensure the very nature of Texas. Your support today will shape and enhance our state’s conservation landscape for decades to come.

We invite you to become a member of TPWF today [ [link removed] ], because the future of Texas depends on all of us working together to advance our outdoor traditions and conserve our wild things and wild places.
