Here's the truth:
Last night was the first debate of the campaign.
We hope you watched it, but if you didn't, rest assured you would have been proud of Elissa.
Our opponent, Mike Rogers ... he had no answers for his previous support for abortion bans, raising the Social Security retirement age, and a host of other far-right positions.
But while it is pretty clear Elissa won last night's debate, debates on their own don't win elections. They help, but Elissa doesn't just get declared the winner because she did a better job last night.
Winning takes the work of volunteers, and it takes resources. Right now, we need the resources to reach the remaining undecided voters and to turn out infrequent Democratic voters.
