There are just 27 days left until Election Day and our Affiliate unions have been out knocking doors and talking with voters across Maryland and in crucial battleground states. Here's a look at some of that work in action.

The Metropolitan Washington Council AFL-CIO and members of UFCW Local 400, AFSCME Maryland, AFL-CIO, U.S. Steelworkers, and the National Education Association were in Prince George's County last Saturday for Kamala Harris, Angela Alsobrooks, and labor-endorsed candidates on the ballot. Thank you to everyone who joined us for this powerful day.

This Saturday, join IBEW Local 26, IPUAT DC 51, Steamfitters Local 602, Plumbers & Gasfitters Local 5, and ATU Local 689 for a Labor to Labor Walk for Kamala Harris, Angela Alsobrooks, and labor-endorsed candidates on the ballot.
Join the effort starting at 9 AM on Saturday at IBEW Local 26 Hall (4371 Parliament Place, Lanham MD). Sign up to join the walk.

The AFL-CIO is urging the nation’s 14.4 million union members to look at its “candidate comparison” website, which makes the case that Trump is anti-union. He crossed a union picket line, praised the idea of firing workers who are on strike, and often used non-union workers at his construction sites. Read more »
