Almost three years ago, we founded Our Revolution because we knew that the work started by Bernie Sanders’ 2016 presidential campaign was far from finished. Since then, we have worked together to change American politics forever.
Once “radical” issues like getting big money out of politics, Medicare for All, free college for all, and ending private prisons are now mainstream thanks to the incredible on the ground organizing of our 600 nationwide groups.
Now, thanks to our hard work over these last three years, we stand on the precipice of a complete progressive takeover of the Democratic party. With the news of our global climate crisis growing more disturbing every day, nothing less than the future of all life on earth depends on our success.

More than 180 Our Revolution endorsed candidates have been elected to office over the last three years, and we have helped pass 50 successful ballot initiatives at the same time! While you may have heard of our high profile wins like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, we are also organizing at the local level all over America, including in traditionally deep-red states.
In Jackson, Mississippi, Mayor Chokwe Antar Lumumba has already begun to roll out a guaranteed income for the city’s neediest residents, and expanded pre-kindergarten to cover all families in Jackson. In Clarkston, Georgia, Mayor Ted Terry has raised the minimum wage to $15 an hour for all city workers and declared Election Day a local holiday.
In New York State, a slate of candidates we endorsed, including Alessandra Biaggi, Jessica Ramos, Rachel May, and Zellnor Myrie successfully dismantled a group of wayward Democrats who had long sided with Republicans in stymying any attempts to pass progressive legislation.
