Project 2025 would be devastating for the United States, and nowhere is it more apparent than Florida. Under Project 2025, Trump would privatize the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. This agency provides essential storm tracking information. If privatized, this information would be out of reach, and more people would die in natural disasters.
Project 2025 would also be devastating to sanctuary states–states that allow immigrants to live their lives without excessive government interference. Trump would deny those states FEMA funds in the event of a national disaster. Federal emergency management funds should never be used as a tool for political extortion.
