Friend, my team just ran the numbers on Rick Scott's policy goals — and I don't think it's a price any of us want to pay:
- $1,480: That's how much more, on average, most middle class American families would owe under Rick Scott’s plan to raise taxes.
- $22,884: That's the average annual amount a senior receiving Social Security benefits would have to go without under Scott's plan to end it.
- $42 million: That's what the over 90,000 Medicare recipients in Florida alone would pay for insulin each year if Rick Scott had successfully blocked the Inflation Reduction Act.
- $68 billion: That's how much states with extreme abortion bans already lose each year due to women's reduced workforce participation and earnings — and I can't fathom how much more we'll pay if the national version Scott supports is put into place.
Based on a quick cost-benefit analysis, working families simply can't afford another term with an out-of-touch crackpot like Scott in charge.
But the path to the Senate majority runs through Florida — so if he and wealthy extremists flip it red, regular Americans will have to foot the bill.
Look, Rick Scott knows his extreme policies won't fly. Now, Scott is running scared by refusing to acknowledge invitations to meet me on the debate stage, despite attending the presidential debate to cheer on his puppet-master Donald Trump. It's never been more clear, friend: Rick Scott is only out for himself and his corrupt millionaire friends.
As Florida's next senator, I'll fight for the policies that save your hard-earned cash. But if I fall short of my $500,000 midnight deadline, I won't be able to compete with Scott's self-funded campaign for another 28 days.
Please, friend, before 11:59 p.m. tonight, will you chip in $5, $25, or any amount you can spare to help me stop Rick Scott from fleecing working families? In this competitive and expensive race, every cent you give goes a long way.
