Hi there, it’s Jennifer McCormick – the Democratic nominee for governor of Indiana. I’ll get right to it: today is the first day of early voting in Indiana, and we’ve got a toss-up on our hands. Even though our campaign is being outspent by tens of thousands, polling consistently shows my extremist opponent Mike Braun and I are statistically tied!

The next 28 days are going to decide whether Indiana’s future is in the hands of extremism and division or in the hands of someone who wants to bring Hoosiers together. This is the most pivotal moment of this campaign, and team, I need your help. Will you rush $3 before midnight and have your donation split between my campaign and the Democratic Governors Association so we can win this race and races across the country?

I come from a fifth-generation farm family, and I understand the importance of having a governor who will fight for our freedoms. However, extremists like my opponent, Mike Braun, are determined to take away our reproductive rights – something both Hoosiers and most Americans do not want.

Mike Braun – who Donald Trump has enthusiastically endorsed – has spent his career attacking public education, allowing companies to ship Indiana jobs out of state and overseas, and attacking what Hoosiers stand for. Braun and the Republican party have allowed extremism and dysfunction to supersede the values of hard working Americans, and they do not deserve to represent Hoosiers.

Which is exactly why I’m running for Governor. We don’t want our rights stripped. We don’t want our books banned. We don’t want extremism to shape our future. As the next governor of Indiana, I will fight to repeal Indiana’s extreme abortion ban and restore reproductive rights. I will fight to expand access to the ballot box and end voter suppression in every precinct. I will fight for first-time home buyers, low-income families, teachers, small businesses, and more – but first, I need to win.
