With this year’s theme, “Good Trouble,” LAANE uplifts the transformative power of nonviolent direct action in the pursuit of social, political, environmental, and economic transformation.

This year, we are thrilled to honor the following champions of good trouble: Ada F. Briceño, Susan Minato, and Kurt Petersen, Co-Presidents of UNITE HERE! Local 11; Jackie Goldberg, LAUSD Board President; and Laurie Traktman, Partner and Shareholder, Gilbert & Sackman. 

Moreover, we are excited to announce that Cynthia Anderson-Barker, Civil Rights & Criminal Defense Lawyer and Randi Weingarten, President of the American Federation of Teachers, will be joining this incredible lineup as special presenters. 

Last but not least, stepping into the roles of emcee are two exceptional individuals and friends of LAANE—Greg Good, Director of Strategic Engagement and Policy at the Los Angeles Housing Department, and Comedian and Political Commentator, Francesca Fiorentini.
