Hurricane Milton could be one of the worst storms to hit Florida this century. We are keeping everyone on the path of the storm in our minds as they are still recovering from Hurricane Helene and are now facing a category-four hurricane – expected to make landfall Wednesday night.

But here’s why we’re emailing right now: Many of the folks working to pass the historic Florida ballot measure to protect abortion access statewide have been instructed to evacuate their homes and neighborhoods. Consequently, they have had to pause GET OUT THE VOTE operations until further notice. ​​

We are issuing a dire CALL TO ACTION. Voter outreach certainly won't be possible during this disaster as potential voters are experiencing the same emergency.

The background:
Florida currently has an extreme 6-week abortion ban in place. The impact of this ban has been felt far beyond Florida’s border.

However, there is a diligent, organized, and historic effort on the ground in Florida working to reverse this ban. Thanks to their hard work, voters will have the chance to pass a constitutional amendment that would guarantee the right to an abortion THIS ELECTION DAY.
