Dear Friend,
As the full impact of Hurricane Helene continues to unfold, health, water, sanitation, and mental health needs are growing -- and becoming more and more urgent.
The situation is dire. Sadly, more than 230 lives have been lost. Hundreds of people remain missing. Over 283,000 are still without power, and the water systems in some counties are completely non-functional. And one week after Helene made landfall, communities remain cut off from critical health and support services.
Families reeling in North Carolina urgently need more support. Please send an emergency gift today to help us rush lifesaving aid at this critical time and to continue our mission supporting people and families in need around the world.
Our response team on the ground in North Carolina is working nonstop in coordination with local shelters and clinics, distributing hygiene supplies, water, and medicines, and connecting people with medical services. And as Florida residents brace themselves for Hurricane Milton as it reaches landfall with sustained winds of 155 mph, Project HOPE is deploying with our partners at SAMU First Response, ready to respond in support of affected families and children.

Help bring urgent relief to survivors of Hurricane Helene's destruction and continue to fulfill our mission with an emergency gift.

Our team on the ground in North Carolina reports dire, growing need and anticipates a health care crisis. Hospitals are forced to discharge patients with less immediate needs, and health workers in the Asheville area are living with their families at health facilities so they can care for their patients. They lack access to water for personal hygiene, and are experiencing both physical and emotional burnout.
Please give now to help us continue our lifesaving mission and support communities and health workers facing health and humanitarian emergencies. Your gift means we can address the most crucial health care needs in the wake of this destructive storm while monitoring and anticipating the threat of further crises, like Hurricane Milton in the Gulf and others around the world.
Thank you for your compassion and urgency.
