John, there is so much on the line in my home state of Florida. Especially with Hurricane Milton on its way, I'm reminded that effective leadership is more crucial than ever: that's why I'm resending my message below in case you missed it.

Although it’s often written off as a Republican stronghold, political pundits have speculated that the new wave of Democratic enthusiasm could yield a surprising chance to FLIP Florida blue in 2024.

Here's what we're up against in the Sunshine State:

Since his time in office, GOP Senator Rick Scott has made his anti-choice agenda clear: from supporting a national abortion ban and celebrating the fall of Roe v. Wade, to blocking legislation that would protect access to contraception. And now, for the second time this year, Rick Scott has just voted against the Right to IVF Act — a bipartisan bill that would protect access to infertility treatments and lower IVF costs for middle-class families.

It’s past-due time to finally send Rick Scott packing, and Vote Mama has got the ideal candidate to do it: Debbie Muscarel-Powell. Debbie broke barriers when she became the first South American-born immigrant ever elected to Congress, and she’s got a proven track record of championing gun safety, health care, climate action, Social Security, and abortion rights. After winning her August primary, she’s well on her way to flipping this U.S. Senate seat BLUE.

As a matter of fact — ALL of our endorsed Florida candidates won their primaries, including two school board mamas who both defeated the incumbents: Rebecca Thompson crushed her Gov. Ron DeSantis-appointed opponent in Broward County by a 2-to-1 margin, and Liz Barker won against a Moms for Liberty candidate in Sarasota County.

We also have the incredible Whitney Fox who is running against Trump-backed Anna Paulina-Luna in Florida’s 13th Congressional District. Anyone who describes themselves as a “pro-life extremist” and wrote a children’s book claiming that the 2020 election was stolen should NOT be in office, so Whitney is fighting to unseat her.

AND raising the stakes even higher: Whitney Fox was just officially named as a Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) “Red to Blue” candidate!

Vote Mama’s pro-choice moms in the Sunshine State are paving the way for historic Democratic victories all the way up to Vice President Harris at the very top of the ticket. We’ve got over 200 pro-choice moms across the country who are counting on us to arm them with the necessary resources to defeat GOP extremists in November.
