I first got into this race because San Francisco needs a new mayor to make our city work for all of us again.
This is a crowded race, and if I ultimately do not have the honor of serving as San Francisco’s next mayor, I still firmly believe that we need new leadership—our current mayor has failed us with inattention, misplaced priorities, and rampant corruption.
That is why, tomorrow, October 5 at 9 am, I will stand with my fellow candidate Mark Farrell at a rally with the San Francisco Building and Construction Trades and San Francisco Deputy Sheriffs Association, as we urge our supporters to vote for both of us as their first and second choices for Mayor of San Francisco.
Please RSVP to our rally today [[link removed]] .
For 20 years, San Francisco voters have been asking candidates to look for commonalities and work together. While some candidates love to criticize or dismiss our system of Ranked Choice Voting, I’ve always been one to bring people to the table. That’s why Mark Farrell and I have found common ground and are asking voters to vote for each other as their second choice.
Mark Farrell previously served as the 44th Mayor of San Francisco, as well as the District 2 Supervisor. He was the longest serving Budget Chair in the City’s history. Mark is a San Francisco native and a proud, lifelong Democrat.
Mark and I are both fathers raising our kids here, and he shares my commitment to building a city where working families are the priority, through safer streets, stronger schools, and more vibrant neighborhoods. I am honored to call him my friend, and I ask you to please consider making Mark Farrell your second choice for mayor.
If you can’t make the rally on Saturday, I hope you’ll contribute to our campaign [[link removed]] as we surge towards the finish line on November 5.
One thing we can all agree on is that it’s time for change—the current mayor simply isn’t working for working families. I’m running hard to be the mayor who brings that change, and today I’m urging San Franciscans to share my commitment to finding common ground by making Mark Farrell your second choice for mayor.
We can only bring real change to San Francisco if we stand together as San Franciscans who love our city.
Thank you for all of your support. I hope to see you on Saturday [[link removed]] .
