*Spot the Dog turns 40!* In 2020, our favourite lovable puppy celebrates his 40 birthday! Join in with a special Spot reading on Monday 11 May at 11am and enjoy lots of fun activities you can do at home.

*Elmer Day Fun on Sat 23 May.*Elmer Dayis a celebration of reading, of elephants and of accepting yourself and others, just likeElmerthe Elephant! On Friday 22 May at 6pm, Stacey will be reading some Elmer stories and we will be sharing some fun make and do activities.

Our Children's eRead of the Month

Martin Moone is eleven and completely fed up with being the only boy in a family of girls. When best mate Padraic suggests Martin get an imaginary friend he decides to give it a go. His first attempt is Lou, a hyperactive goofball who loves writing rubbish rap songs. Next is Sean, an imaginary office clerk in a bad suit with a passion for laziness and a head full of dodgy jokes. Sean is full of tips and tricks to guide Martin through the perils of the playground, from dealing with his sisters' pranks to beating the bullying Bonner boys. However, getting rid of Lou is not that easy, and having TWO imaginary friends is a recipe for trouble!

VE Day - 75 Years on

This weekend marks 75 years since the end of WW2.

Though we might not be able to celebrate VE Day in the normal way you can still mark the occasion.


* Hang some bunting and flags up
* Enjoy some WW2 fiction and non fiction
* Do your bit and help others and charities by sewing/crafting items.

Rhyme Time!

Missing your weekly Totstime sessions? Us too!

In fact we missed it so much we have decided to start recording them from home!

Our library staff will be singing some of your favourite rhymes for you to sing along with every Wednesday morning at 11am on Facebook [ [link removed] ].
