John,

My name is Debbie Mucarsel-Powell. I’m an immigrant, mother, and former
Congresswoman. And I’m officially running to defeat Sen. Rick Scott and
serve as Florida’s next U.S. Senator.

Rick Scott has failed us in Florida, and I refuse to sit back and watch
him push my state and country backward. I’m prepared to fight to protect
our rights, our economy, and our very democracy—and even more, I’m
prepared to win.

But this race will be one of the most competitive Senate races in 2024,
and we’re up against a deep-seated Republican incumbent who spent $64
million of his personal fortune to buy this seat last time around. The
only way I can compete—and win—is with the support of grassroots Democrats
like you.

I've set an ambitious goal to raise $25,000 by midnight to defeat Rick
Scott, and I need your help to reach it. [ [link removed] ]Please, will you split a
donation between my campaign and Jon Tester right now to flip Florida and
expand our Senate majority?

When I was 14, my mom, my three sisters, and I left our home in Ecuador to
find a better life in America. We lived in a one room apartment. My mom
worked double-shifts during the day and took classes at night to learn
English. I picked up shifts at the local doughnut shop to help make ends
meet.

Those years weren’t easy. But thanks to my mother’s relentless belief in a
brighter future for her children, I went on to graduate from college,
become the first South American immigrant to serve in Congress, and write
the bill to expand Medicare Advantage coverage.

My story—coming from a one room apartment to walking the halls of
Congress—is only possible in America. But Rick Scott has spent his time in
Washington doing everything he can to destroy the country that gave my
family a shot at a better life.

Rick Scott has a net worth up to nearly a quarter of a billion dollars,
yet he’s proposed tax increases on working families and the middle class.
He’s pushed for a nationwide ban on abortions. And he wrote the GOP plan
to end the Social Security and Medicare benefits that so many rely on.

That’s why I’m running to defeat him this November. Experts say that Rick
will be one of the most vulnerable senators on the ballot—which means that
if we build a powerful grassroots team full of people like you,
John, we can take him down.

So please, I’m personally asking: [ [link removed] ]Will you become a grassroots donor by
splitting a gift between my campaign and Jon Tester today? Every dollar
gets us one step closer to defeating Rick Scott and defending our Senate
majority.

As a third-generation Montanan and the U.S. Senate’s only working dirt
farmer, Jon Tester is committed to protecting the Montana way of life.

In the Senate, Jon takes his cues from the rural communities, veterans,
and working families that elected him—not special interests or super PACs.

That’s why we’re counting on you to help reelect Jon and keep him fighting
for rural communities in the Senate. [ [link removed] ]Click here to chip in and fuel our
